The Joliet Slammers released their 2013 schedule on Thursday and will give a rowdy welcome to the Traverse City Beach Bums for the home opener on May 17th, 2013. Fans can download the schedule here.
The Slammers’ promotional schedule will be announced at a later date. At this time 11 fireworks nights are planned including spectacular shows on the 3rd and the 4th of July! The Slammers play 51 home games in 2013 thanks to the addition of the Frontier Greys to the league. This gives fans three additional home games to enjoy next season!
Joliet will once again compete in the Frontier League’s West Division. The league remains unchanged with the exception of the Greys replacing the Road Warriors in the East Division.
The 2012 season ended below expectations after the Slammers won the championship in 2011. Joliet will look to bounce back with a strong 2013 as they re-arm the squad with talented pitchers, quality hitters and smooth fielders.
