(Joliet, IL) The hunt is on!
The Joliet Slammers announced today they are hosting an Easter egg hunt at Silver Cross Field on Sunday, April 17.
“Hop on down to Silver Cross Field,” Promotions Director Kelli Drechsel said. “It’s going to be an egg-citing day.”
The hunt starts at 10:30 a.m. sharp and the gates open at 10. Admission is free! Families should enter at the main gate. The hunt is divided into four age groups: four and under, five through eight, nine through 10, and 11 through 12. Kids will hunt for eggs on the field and on the berms.
The Slammers have 10,000 Easter eggs that are just waiting to be found! Each egg has a special treat inside and everyone needs to bring their own basket.
It’s all part of a big day for Joliet as the Easter Parade takes place at 2 p.m. The Slammers will be participating in the parade as well.
The Slammers begin play in their inaugural season on Thursday, May 19th, 2011 against the Washington Wild Things. For tickets, please call (815) 722-BATS (2287).
