The Joliet Slammers were recently informed of a Frontier League roster ruling impacting three games played earlier this season in June.
During a routine review of our roster, the organization identified an administrative error involving a player’s classification status after his birthday changed his veteran designation during the season. Once identified, the Slammers immediately self-reported the matter to the Frontier League Office and fully cooperated throughout the review process.
The Frontier League determined that this was an administrative mistake and not an attempt to gain a competitive advantage. As a result, the League has vacated the results of three games that were impacted, which will be reflected in the league standings.
We appreciate the Frontier League’s review and support, and we appreciate the opportunity to address this matter transparently with our fans. The integrity of the game and our responsibility to our fans are extremely important to this organization.
While this decision impacts our record on the field, our commitment to competing the right way remains unchanged. We are proud of our players, coaches, and staff, and we look forward to continuing together for the remainder of the season.
Thank you for your continued support of Slammers Baseball.
